Corporate Philosophy

The Movement anew Five Slogans:

  1. We will keep consumers informed about food pollution.
  2. We will promote the improvement of food lifestyles for a bright future for generations to come.
  3. We will seek a restoration of the natural environment and participate in local greenification activities.
  4. We will work for an improvement in human relations through dialog in a managed society.
  5. We will establish health centers founded on natural diet methods in local areas throughout the country.

It was over 30 years ago when the company founder, Yukio Hashimoto, heard the shocking words of an OB-GYN physician. "One out of four pregnant women cannot give birth to a healthy baby.” One of the Main Causes was thought to be chemical contamination of food products.

"Someone has to be brave and tell everybody the truth. Someone has to make safe food products. For the children of the future…” It was at this time that Yukio Hashimoto encountered the job he would dedicate his life to. This was how the Movement anew began. The starting point of the Movement anew is the "5 Slogans" that were established in 1974.

1974 was a time when Japan's high economic growth had begun to show some cracks even though it was still experiencing mass production / mass consumption, and efficiency was prized above everything else.

It was during this time of change that Anew was founded by Yukio Hashimoto in 1972. For the last 36 years, the Movement anew has expanded to around 370 outlets in Japan and abroad to Brazil, Taiwan, the United States, and China. Movement anew did so by recognizing the trinity of the "seller, buyer, and producer."
